Picture this. You are running late for work. You have just put on the first clothing you laid your hands on. You are balancing a hurried breakfast, while putting on your shoes, shuffling documents in your hands and getting your stuff ready for the day. Then it happened.
Your cup of coffee tipped accidentally and spilled everywhere – on the table, on the carpet and, unfortunately, your clothes.
Not a very good way to start the day, huh? And just imagine all the cleaning you have to do to remove all those coffee stains.
Fret not! I have some homemaking tips up my sleeve to help you deal with those nasty, nasty coffee stains. Don’t worry, all the tips I share are very easy to do!
Tricks on Removing Coffee Stains
- For fabrics, dip the stained part of a cloth in glycerine overnight, and wash with soap and water the following day.
- Fresh coffee stains from clothes may be removed by sponging a borax solution over the stain.
- Dissolve baking soda in water. Soak the stained area in the solution for an hour. Rinse the fabric in warm water.
- When you’re dining out and happened to spill coffee on your shirt, wet a table napkin with club soda and use this to sponge off the cofee stain.
