A recent death in the family made me think of my own mortality. Somehow, I am getting convinced that there really might be some benefits in getting a term life insurance. I am single and I have a 3-year old boy. I am an only child. My father lives on the other side of the world with his wife. I am estranged from my father’s relatives. Sometimes I think, what’s to become of my son if I die? What would I leave my son?
Somehow it scares me. But I think it’s wise to be ready.
Busy, busy, busy. This is why I haven’t been able to blog daily as I used to.
A mother’s work is never done. There’s a child to raise, a house to keep, a garden to tend.
Here’s a short list of the things I have to do.
- Get rid of the aphids on my Acalypha plants.
- Nurse my ailing Boxwood topiary.
- Find a good preschool nearby.
- Crunch the numbers and figure out my son’s enrollment this schoolyear.
- Get a wading pool. The summer heat is killing me.
- Have a look at all those insurance quotes
This isn’t it. These are just the things that are on my “immediate” to do list. I still have a gazillion things to attend to after I’ve finished with the above.
What is keeping you busy these days?
