I hate seeing smudges in my vanity mirror. I hate it even more when I cannot see myself in a mirror because it is not sparkly clear. I am sure my fellow moms would agree with me on this.

Now how do I deal with dirty, smudgy mirrors? I have several different homemaking tips just for you.

Mirror Cleaning Tips

  • Remove sticky labels on mirrors by rubbing them with alcohol or nail polish remover.
  • Clean mirrors by rubbing them with a clean soft rag dipped in methylated spirit (denatured alcohol). Afterwards, polish the mirror with a soft, dry cloth.
  • To keep mirors sparkling, apply a thin film of soap with moisty fingers. Using a clean tissue, wipe the film of soap from the mirror and keep polishing.
  • Add a dash of ammonia to water. Rub this solution on the surface of a mirror using a soft cloth. Dry and polish the mirror using a tissue paper.
