Everyone surely has electronic devices at home – television, laptop or desktop computers, mobile phones, digital cameras. The world today revolves around electronics. Cool, helpful and most of the time expensive electronics.
Personally, I think of electronic devices as “investments”. My computer helps me with the work I do online. My mobile phone helps me keep in touch with family and friends. My gaming consoles help keep my family entertained. I am pretty sure that you are somehow attached to your devices be it your computer, your cellphone or whatever. To make sure that your hard earned money spent on these items would not be for naught, proper care must be given to your electronic devices. Everything starts with having the right cleaning materials.
The Things You Need for Cleaning Electronic Devices
Microfiber cloth is a very soft material that is suitable for cleaning delicate items. I use this a lot when dusting my TV and monitor. These cloths are synthetic, made of “polyesters, polyamides (nylon), and or a conjugation of polyester and polyamide”1. This is best used for dusting surfaces. The soft material makes sure that your devices won’t get scratched.
Having a can of compressed air helps a lot when dusting hard to reach places. But be careful, sometimes it can blow too hard and may damage some parts of your device.
I have seen some people use a soft paintbrush to dust keyboards. I tried it and it seems effective enough. Although most of the time, for a quick fix, I just turn my keyboard upside down and tap lightly. LOL. But having a soft paintbrush can make the dusting a little bit easier.
So there. Three materials to help you keep your electronic devices healthy and dust-free. Hope this helps!
