A few days ago a got new plants. Woot! I only went to the nursery to buy fertilizer but these pretty babies caught my eyes. And sank their teeth into my heart. They’re just so pretty.
Naturally, I asked the lady there what they’re called.
Me: ‘Te, ano tong mga ‘to
Lady: Impatiens yan, madam
Me: Ano? Impatience?
Lady: Oho
Me: Baket impatience?
Lady: Di ko alam basta yan ang pangalan nyan.
Me: Baka naman mabilis tumubo yan. Mabilis bang tumubo yan?
Impatiens. LOL. It was only after I got home and Googled about these cuties that I found out that they really are IMPATIENS. Not Impatience as I originally heard/thought. Oh well. This is just another one of my dumb blonde moments. Let’s leave it at that.
I got these from a nursery along the Binan National Highway. It cost me PHP 50 for each plant and PHP 50 for each clay pot. Not bad, huh? I have some white stone chips in my storage so I used them instead of mulch. I’m one happy accidental gardener.
