Acne, oh, acne!

acne free face

In my previous post I talked about the different skin types, and how knowing which one you have will greatly help you in finding the proper beauty regimen in order for you to bring out the best in your skin. I know there are other things that annoy us when we look into the mirror everyday – blemishes, acne, blackheads, whiteheads are just a few of the things that bring us down the moment we look in the mirror. LOL. But really, these things happen to almost everybody. Even celebs are no exception.

I, too, have my share of problems with acne. So today I would like to share with you some well known acne solution that helps me keep my face clear, soft and just overall lovely.

Keeping Your Face Acne Free

  • Always keep your face clean and oil-free. Yes, it is hard for especially for those who have oily skin. But try your best to manage excess oil and dirt in your face. I do use those oil control film/paper. They’re very affordable and does the job of removing excess oil from your face, keeping your face shine-free and less prone to acne.
  • Avoid touching your face with your hands. If you need to wipe the sweat or oil off your face, use a soft tissue, or handkerchief. Never touch directly touch your face with your hands if you’ve been doing a lot of things all day. Only touch your face when your hands are clean.
  • Try to eat healthier, less oily food. Also avoid food and drinks that you may have some reaction to. Some may say that food and acne are not connected in any way. But you know what, I personally have experience with this. Not with food, but with sodas. Cutting down my intake of sodas and just switching to water or fresh fruit juice really helped in clearing my face.

Acne happens to almost everyone. Cheer up, there are so many ways in which you can beat it. Sure, there are a lot of medications, but doing simple things to add to your regimen can dramatically help your success in battline acne.

Knowing Your Specific Skin Type

know your skin type

I am sure you have been bombarded by ads on TV, in magazines and everywhere else pushing you to buy this and that face creams, toners and other kinds of beauty products that you sometimes wonder which one of these products is best for your skin.

You really shouldn’t be stuck in such a dilemma. Finding the perfect beauty regimen to follow is all about knowing what type of skin you have. From there, you would be able to know which creams, toners and beauty products will work to your advantage and bring out the best in you!

Proper Skin Care Starts with Knowing Your Skin Type

  • Normal Skin. If you have normal skin, you are very lucky. You will never have traces of oil on your face, which is really, really helpful. Normal skin feels very supple, elastic and vibrant! Apart from that, normal skin is the least problematic of all skin types. How I envy you ;)
  • Dry Skin. If your skin feels flaky and tight, you have dry skin. You are also prone to sallow skin tone, wrinkles and fine pores. Keep dry skin healthy by putting on treatment masks regularly. And don’t forget to moisturize daily!
  • Oily Skin.
  • Combination Skin.
  • Sensitive Skin.

Remember, knowing your skin type is the first step in finding the right beauty regimen for you. You can get a personalized treatment, just for you. One way to find your skin type is by using skin id. Don’t forget, a successful beauty regimen starts with getting to know your skin.

Washing Machine Usage Tricks

washing machine

OMG. I love doing the laundry. By hand. I just love the soapy water, the soap suds, bubbles. Whee! LOL

Kidding aside, washing by hand may be fun but it can be a chore, especially washing denim pants. OMG, how much heavier can they be? This is the reason why sometimes I love using a washing machine.

Today I would like to share with you two simple tricks on using your washing machine.

Washing Machine Usage Tricks

  • Always be sure that your washing machine is well-maintained and cared for. Check the parts such as plastic knobs, timers and rotators are working properly before you start doing your laundry.
  • To clean your washing machine of soap deposits and scum, fill the tub with hot water. Add two cups of white vinegar into the water and run the machine for eight to ten minutes. Drain the machine and wipe it dry.
  • Always close zippers before putting the clothes into the washing machine. Closing the zips will make sure that they will not get damaged or caught in the machine rotator.

I do hope you find these tips very helpful. Taking care of your washing machine and using it properly will ensure a longer life span of your appliance, saving you money from always buying a new one.
